Halloween

I was excited for Halloween this year, COUPLES COSTUME!!!!!! yay! We went as Mickey and Minnie. Casey was a good sport. Better do all the cutesy couple stuff now while he still will. 

New Blog

Since my last post, a lot has happened. If you scroll down to that last post the 4 girls in that picture a lots happened to them too. Within a year and a half of that picture all of us will be married! Its strange, you feel like you're stuck in concrete going nowhere and then all of the sudden you're running on a moving sidewalk in the airport because you are late for a flight.



With all the new stuff thats happened Ive decided to start over. Ive started a new chapter. Meet Casey:

We met in Provo in the fall of 2011. We were called to the same calling as co-chairs. Allison M. my friend decided one Sunday to befriend Casey and his roommate Kabe. Since Allison and I always hung out I became friends with these guys too. Shortly after this Casey and I began dating. It wasnt until a trip to New York in December that my friends made me see how great of a guy Casey is. He called and texted me everyday while in New York and took me to the airport and came and got me. The weekend before Valentines day I mentioned to Casey I wanted to celebrate it. (Before this I had told him if he even sent me a valentines day text it was over. I was saving my last holiday not assigned to a guy for my husband- i'd waited this long, i wasnt going to waist the 'love' holiday on just anybody) He asked if I was sure and for some reason I was okay with it. At the end of Feb. Casey proposed,

and in July we were sealed in the Draper, UT Temple.

Stadium of Fire

My friend got tickets for Stadium of Fire and asked if I wanted to go seeing that I am a lover of fireworks and America and the 4th of July. All I could think/say was 'ring of FIRE!!!' (yeah maybe I need to broaden my movie choices) It was really fun, we saw Braid Paisley, and some AWESOME fireworks, I thought it would be a little bit more patriotic, seeing how its a FREEDOM FESTIVAL on the 4th of July, but it was a little patriotic-ness mixed into a concert and fireworks. Am I a Nice Girl?

Last night as we were about to say prayers, I was again the last one to put my finger on my nose, but I argued that I ALWAYS have to say the prayer, if not for being fast enough, to being the people pleaser and just saying it because I dont like the awkward silence. Well last night I said I wasn't doing it. My roommates tried to guilt me into saying it and just waiting until I caved. They got pretty close, but I stood my ground(its the small victories). Then this morning as I was doing my morning routine I checked aol.com and saw this article, and since I'm always up for highlighting my good qualities I thought I'd read it, ummm not what I was expecting. But slide 2 caught me- hello- could have just posted a picture of me, and then the slide about perfect food...

I went home for lunch and told Cindy about it. Its now on hold at the library, but Cindy was sure to remind me that it probably doesn't have any pictures- not sure how far I'll get into it. Maybe this will teach me to say 'no' and be competitive, well its worth a shot. right?

Graduation

So back in December I graduated, but UVU only does 1 graduation ceremony in April. I decided not to walk, but as my roommate was gathering all her graduation things (she finished in April) I kinda wanted to have pictures, because it really didn't seem real. I wasn't all about going to the ceremony and stuff, so she let me borrow her stuff and Libby and I went and took pictures, I think it makes it a little more legit.

Tulip Festival

Every year Thanksgiving Point has a Tulip festival right around graduation. Since Ive lived here/they've had the festival, Ive wanted to go. Well this year my friend Sherstin got a group together and we went. Some of the tulips hadn't bloomed yet due to the cold and rainy spring this year, but it was beautiful, I love every chance I get to go to the gardens. The only thing I can think of that would make it over the top is if they found a way to have magnolia trees, and a swamp like area with Cypress Trees and Spanish moss!!! Here are some pics I took. Tulips are a new(last few years) favorite. I like how its just a stem and them the tulip and I like them right before and just as the bloom, I guess its the sreamlineness- if that's a word, that I like. Also I noticed a lot of daffodils. They are a favorite because of Big Fish, and this clip from the movie. ahhh. stop around min 4:36
